How wine gets into the pot...
Born and raised in Dortmund - through and through shaped by the Ruhr area, where wine, alongside coal, beer, and football, long played a rather subordinate role.
The reason for my passion for wine may already lie in my childhood, when my grandfather took me to the family's own vineyards on the Mosel. The tall vines on the steep slopes seemed like a large climbing park to me back then, and there was always grape juice from our own production, which I loved so much. However, the topic of wine only gained increasing interest much later, after I helped with the grape harvest for the first time. Over the years, I acquired more and more knowledge, furthered my education, and developed a great passion for the subject. A passion that I like to share with other people.
weinrevier reflects the connection to the Ruhr area and its down-to-earthness and stands for modern and uncomplicated wine drinking. Unpretentious, but always with respect for the product and awareness of consumption.
My small, select range includes exclusively wines that have been produced sustainably and with respect for nature. For me, it is important that a wine is authentic – exceptional and with individual character. The focus is on handcrafted and natural wines from Germany - low intervention wines.
